About Me
I am an award-winning author and illustrator. I am a native Texan born in Weslaco, TX. I chased a career to New York and after 30 successful years in a challenging career as a Federal Law Enforcement Officer, I retired in Harlingen, TX. After undergoing a lifestyle transformation, I began to focus on my true life's passion, the Arts. My vision is to create children's books with relatable characters and storyline themes reflecting social skill building, self-awareness, morality and valuable life-lessons. I wholeheartedly support Children's Literacy Development. I am intently following my dream, creating literary works and visual arts. Most importantly, as I follow my journey, I am truly and undeniably living my best life.

Soy una autora e ilustradora galardonada. Soy una nativa de Texas nacido en Weslaco, TX. Perseguí una carrera en Nueva York y después de 30 años exitosos en una carrera desafiante como oficial de la ley federal, me jubilé en Harlingen, TX. Después de someterme a una transformación de estilo de vida, comencé a concentrarme en la verdadera pasión de mi vida, las artes. Mi visión es crear libros para niños con personajes identificables y temas argumentales que reflejen el desarrollo de habilidades sociales, la autoconciencia, la moralidad y valiosas lecciones de vida. My Accomplishments
Diana is a supporter of children’s literacy development. She is the Author and Illustrator of two children’s books, Grand Zipper-Z and THE PICOSOS LOS PICOSOS. Grand Zipper-Z is about a turtle searching for his life’s true purpose. The storyfocuses on knowing your purpose, being unique and following your heart. THE PICOSOS LOS PICOSOS is a Bilingual Edition about twin parrots. The story focuses on the value of honesty. Diana had three media broadcasting televised interviews in 2023. Noticias Telemundo’s interview publically aired and recognized her as “Orgullo 956.” She was interviewed in two live segments by KRGV Chanel 5, “La Voz del Valle.” She has also participated in community outreach events at Quips ‘N’ Quotes and Hispanic Heritage commemoration at the Reading Turtle in Harlingen, TX.
